Rubis has appointed Philippe Goron as the new Managing Director for its Channel Island operations, taking over from Nicolas de Breyne who has been in charge since 2014.
Mr Goron has 35 years' experience of leading major projects and businesses in the civil engineering and fuel industries, including 20 years with major international companies such as Elf and Total, spanning Europe, Africa and India, most recently in Paris.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Goron said, "I am looking forward to working with our expert teams in Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney. Rubis has an excellent reputation for innovation and customer service covering more than 60 years in the Channel Islands. I am keen to build on that and to continue to deliver quality products and services to existing and new customers, both private and commercial."
Nicolas de Breyne, who is moving to another part of the RUBiS Group, said "Rubis continues to invest in its people and infrastructure in the Channel Islands to give islanders and businesses confidence that the essential services we provide are sustainable and to the highest standard. Philippe is joining an excellent team that serves a very loyal customer base, which it has been a pleasure to work with over the past four years."
