A Quiet Zone worth shouting about

A new ‘Quiet Zone’ has been developed at the Digital Greenhouse to allow its members to focus on their work, with the assistance of Sure.

The telecoms company has provided desks, monitors, laptop docks, wireless keyboards and mice to ensure that the newly remodelled space is fit for purpose. The original opening was delayed due to the corona virus, but the Quiet Zone is now available as the Digital Greenhouse re-opens to its members.

Justin Bellinger, Chief Executive at Sure in Guernsey, said that the Digital Greenhouse's services are important to the island's business community.

“Covid-19 has been a huge setback for many businesses and start-ups, but it has also given others the impetus to set up a business or spot an opportunity,” said Mr Bellinger. “Entrepreneurs and small businesses will be a vital part of Guernsey’s ‘Revive and Thrive’ strategy and this new resource will provide a digitally enabled space for those with vision and ambition to start and grow their own enterprise.”

Lucy Kirby, Director at the Digital Greenhouse, hopes the space will be of use to Islanders still working from home, and in need of a distraction from the ‘noise of home life.’

“We are very pleased to be adding this additional quiet space to our hotdesking now we are able to re-open to our members,” said Ms Kirby. “Digital enablement is at the heart of many businesses’ strategies so this space, thanks to Sure’s support, will be ideal for many of our members.”
