Ogier's Channel Islands teams have retained their top tier rankings in the latest guide to the industry produced by Legal 500.

Its rankings across multiple service lines in Guernsey and Jersey, with almost 60 of its Channel Island based lawyers being recommended in the publication.

The directory is a guide to leading UK and offshore law firms and this year recognises 24 lawyers in Guernsey, and 34 in Jersey.

In Guernsey, the firm received top tier rankings in top tier rankings in Banking and Finance, Commercial Property, Private Client, Trusts and Tax, Corporate and M&A, and Dispute Resolution. 

Practice Partner in Guernsey Christopher Jones (pictured) said: "The client feedback featured in this year's guide showcases the range and depth of expertise we have across our service lines, and is testament to the high-quality, personal and knowledgeable service we continue to offer our clients."

In the Banking and Finance department, Christopher Jones and Partner Marcus Leese are ranked as leading individuals, with Paul Chanter named a next generation Partner, and Partner Bryon Rees and Consultant Michaela Jesson recommended as key individuals.

In Capital Markets, headed by Bryon Rees, the team also includes Paul Chanter, Managing Associate Michelle Watson Bunn, and Senior Associates Diana Collas and Gabrielle Payne, who are all noted as key individuals.

Within the Commercial Property team, Partner Martyn Baudains is ranked in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame while Senior Associates Piers Dereham and Martín Casas are ranked as rising stars.

Bryon Rees is ranked as a leading individual in Corporate and M&A, with key lawyers noted as partner Tim Clipstone, Michaela Jesson and Managing Associates Richard Doyle and Michelle Watson Bunn.

In Dispute Resolution, Partner Mathew Newman is ranked as a leading individual, while the team's co-head, Simon Davies, is ranked in the Hall of Fame. Also recommended as key individuals are Partners Sandie Lyne, Alex Horsbrugh-Porter, and Bryan de Verneuil Smith.

Rachel DeSanges, who heads up Employment, is ranked a next generation Partner, while key lawyers are Mathew Newman, Sandie Lyne and Senior Associate Fay Warrilow.

The guide ranks Bryon Rees as a leading individual across Investment Funds. It also includes Tim Clipstone, Richard Doyle, Michelle Watson Bunn, Michaela Jesson, Gabrielle Payne and Senior Associate James Dickinson, who are named as key individuals.

Private Client, Trusts and Tax Partner Matthew Guthrie is ranked a leading individual while Partner Gavin Ferguson is ranked in the Hall of Fame, and Catherine Moore is recognised as a next generation Partner.
