NP Group appoints new CEO

Wednesday 01 April 2020

The NP Group has announced John Bampkin as its new CEO, replacing Paul Rogers who has stepped down after nine years.

Mr Bampkin will be taking on the running of the Channel Islands’ business, bringing with him his experience in the builders' merchant sector, including his most recent role as Regional Director of Jewson – one of the UK's largest chain in the industry.

“I've been in the building trade business for all of my career, my last position with Jewson involved responsibility for circa 150 branches. To come to the NP Group will be a fantastic opportunity for me to understand the business, share my knowledge and build on the excellent work that has already been done by Paul and the team here. I look forward to working with the management team to facilitate the company’s future business strategy,” said Mr Bampkin.

Mr Rogers will remain with the group in a consultancy capacity and as a Non-Executive Director. He said “It has been a privilege to head up the NP Group during a period of huge change and I relish the prospect of assisting in taking forward the Group’s exciting plans for Jersey”.

Adrian Norman, Chairman of the NP Group said, “We are delighted to have John join the group, which will only further strengthen our management team. NP are always looking to offer the best customer experience and we are now equipped better than ever to do so. I look forward to working closely with him to achieve our objectives and deliver a first class service to our customers in the Channel Islands”.

Mr Bampkn has moved to Guernsey with his partner Janice, and they are both very excited about this opportunity and the prospect of a new life on the island.
