Tour Guernsey, the island’s newest visitor attraction is holding a pre-season “shakedown” weekend to raise money for charity.
Tour Guernsey will be specialising in “off the beaten track” tours around the lanes of Guernsey, with a maximum seating capacity of 10 people on board a tractor.
The owners said they plan to take visitors to "places that would normally be missed" giving them a different view of the island.
This weekend's "shakedown" will launch the business while raising money for The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation and the Guernsey Society for Cancer Relief.
Owner Andrew Taylor said: “I’d spoken to Andy and Jo Priaulx about our new tour company and how we wanted to do a “shakedown” run before the summer season starts. We realised this could be a great way of of testing out the full website booking system from start to finish whilst also raising money for two great charities.”
“Our tours are really aimed at visitors, taking them off the beaten track to experience some of our beautiful scenery, however we’ve been conducting trials with locals for the last few weeks and the feedback has been amazing - the panoramic viewpoint from the Land Rover seems to really open peoples eyes to the island’s beauty.”
During the weekend of April 14 and 15 Tour Guernsey will be offering one-and-a-half hour tours departing from the Albert Pier at 11:00 and 13:00, costing £30 per person with discount codes on the website. Bookings can also be made through tourguernsey.com with 100% of the takings going to the charities.
