Channel Islands technology solutions provider, C5 Alliance, has promoted Chris Ash as its new Managing Director in Guernsey.

In his new role, Mr Ash will develop and drive the firm's strategy in the island, which will be aligned with the C5 Jersey office as well as the wider BDO Jersey Group, which acquired C5 Alliance in 2018.

His focus will be on growing the team and business development.

Mr Ash joined C5 Alliance in 2018 as Head of Project Delivery, before being appointed to Head of C5 Guernsey in April last year.

Before joining the company, he worked as a Management Consultant for BDO Greenlight and KPMG, during which time he assisted clients across several sectors such as finance, travel and tourism, third sector, utilities and intellectual property.

Mr Ash has experience working as a Business Analyst, a Project Manager and, in an advisory capacity, helping businesses implement change successfully.

"I am delighted to have been appointed," he said. "We have a wonderful team in Guernsey that is well supported by our colleagues in Jersey.

"As part of the wider BDO Jersey Group, we now have such a broad offering and can support our clients in so many different ways - from advisory work to training in a range of different areas, such as cloud, network and security, application development, change and transformation, and data and reporting.

"It's an exciting time for us, as we've recently digitally transformed the business putting the platforms, processes and people in place to both support our existing clients and to build and grow the business."

Chief Executive Officer of BDO in Jersey, Matthew Corbin, added: "Chris' promotion strengthens the group immensely. Chris has significant expertise and is an exceptional leader. He is the ideal candidate to drive the next period of growth in Guernsey."
