New Advocate admitted to Royal Court

Monday 23 November 2020

A Partner at Ogier has been sworn in as an Advocate of the Royal Court.

Tim Clipstone, who has experience as a funds, regulatory and corporate lawyer, was admitted to the Guernsey Bar earlier this month.

He joined Ogier in 2018, bringing with him more than 20 years’ experience from practices in London, BVI and the Cayman Islands. He maintains a focus on the lifecycle of Hedge, Private Equity and Venture Capital fund structures, as well as mergers and acquisitions for Guernsey and BVI-domiciled entities.

Mr Clipstone is a member of Ogier’s multi-disciplinary Private Equity and Sustainable Investing and Impact Funds team, and sits on Guernsey Finance’s Green Strategy Committee.

“I am delighted to join the Guernsey Bar and feel very welcomed by the legal community here in the Bailiwick,” he said.

“I have also been well supported by my colleagues and the team at Ogier through the qualification process.”
