Lockdown claims the Green Hut

Tuesday 26 May 2020

The Green Hut is closing with the owners calling it a "casualty" of the covid-19 lockdown.

Confirming the news to their customers over the weekend, Clint and Sarah McGrath said they had come to the decision that The Green Hut will not re-open as lockdown restrictions are further relaxed this week.

"We have been a Casualty of this war and can’t continue," the couple posted on their business Facebook page.

The Green Hut - formerly known as Ephgrave's - sits near the filter in St Martin's, close to the Parish Church and Hall.

Mr and Mrs McGrath confirmed the land the Hut sits on is for sale, saying: "hopefully it will be bought by someone that can bring it back to life and if so we would give our full support".
