Local Startups compete for £70,000 funding

Friday 13 September 2024

Next week, eight local tech startups will be vying for funding at the 2024 Guernsey Venture Challenge Pitch Night Final.

Run by the Digital Greenhouse in partnership with Blenheim Chalcot as part of the SMART Guernsey programme, these entrepreneurs will spend next Thursday evening competing for one of three grant prizes: £40,000, £20,000, and £10,000.

The pitching startups include UN1TY, Raglan Education Limited, The Quarry, Trainerfy Limited, Kloakify, Factforge AI, MAP Health, and Demeter. These businesses represent a wide range of sectors, all with technology at their core.

These high-potential startups aim to bring innovative solutions to globally relevant challenges.

The Guernsey Venture Challenge, along with other Digital Greenhouse programmes, help accelerate their journey toward international markets.

"Now in its third year, the Guernsey Venture Challenge continues to showcase the incredible entrepreneurial activity happening on the island," said Ben Wratten, Programme and Engagement Manager. "This event is more than a competition—it's a launchpad for all participating businesses. We look forward to supporting them on their journey."

The winners will be announced and awarded their prizes at the Véyaon Awards on 21 November at Beau Sejour.
