KPMG announces tax team transformation

Tuesday 05 November 2019

KPMG has announced a number of key promotions in its cross-island tax team.

Guernsey's Paul Beale has been promoted to Tax Director and will head up the cross-island private client practice.

That includes UK and international tax services to trustees, assisting real estate clients with the ever changing UK legislation and providing advice to those seeking to relocate to the island.

"I am thrilled for the opportunity and the chance to continue to grow this area of the business," Mr Beale said. "We have laid excellent foundations in the past few years and have a strong team in place to meet the rapidly evolving challenges faced."

Meanwhile, Anderson Page has been promoted to Senior Manager in US tax while Nana Aboagye and Matthew Thomas have been promoted to Tax Manager.

"I am delighted to strengthen our leadership team with this series of internal promotions that reflect both the success of the business to date and our confidence in the direction in which it is heading," said Guernsey Tax Partner, Tony Mancini.

"Paul's promotion is on the back of the private client work he has done in Guernsey to grow this part of our practice, which has been outstanding and I'm certain this will continue in his cross island capacity going forward in his new role.

"Anderson Page's background as a US attorney has allowed us to widen greatly and strengthen our US tax offering which we believe to be fairly unique in the islands. All of these promotions are a consequence of hard work and commitment to delivering for our clients over a long period of time. As leader of the business in Guernsey, I'm very proud to see talent developed internally and the growth that each of these individuals has exhibited, being rewarded."

A number of promotions have also been made in KMPG's Jersey office.
