JTC announces new Head of private office

Wednesday 20 November 2019

JTC has appointed Matthias Belz to the role of Head of JTC Private Office, with the firm citing a rise in global interest in its service.

Based in Geneva, Mr Belz will in his new role take on responsibility for continuing to grow and develop the JTC Private Office business, which marks its first anniversary this month.

He joins JTC Private Office having most recently been Managing Director at a leading global service provider, where he worked for almost 17 years.

Iain Johns, Group Head of Private Wealth Services, said: “Over the past year, we’ve been delighted with the global interest we’ve seen in JTC Private Office, in particular from the US and Middle East as well as Europe. Matthias’ truly international experience will undoubtedly prove invaluable in helping to maintain the momentum we’ve seen over the past twelve months and help take the business to the next level.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Belz said: “In JTC Private Office, JTC has developed a hugely powerful solution that is aimed squarely at meeting the increasingly sophisticated needs of a new generation of globally dynamic individuals and families. JTC has also earned a reputation for innovation and first-class client service, delivered by a fantastic multi-jurisdictional team, and I’m looking forward to drawing on those strengths and working with my new colleagues as we continue to grow the business and support the aspirations of families around the world.”

Meanwhile, Director Rebecca Bettany, who has led the day-to-day running of JTC Private Office since launch and who won the ‘Future Leader in Private Client’ Award at the recent Spears Wealth Management Awards 2019, will continue to play a pivotal role in its development by focusing on the home markets of the UK and Channel Islands.
