Joint revenue service launched

Tuesday 23 October 2018

The new Revenue Service – bringing together income tax and social security contributions functions – has launched this week.

The States services were linked in a move to improve both, while streamlining resources.

It has been described as "the first step in a longer journey of transformation and change" which has been focused on "integrating the two functions and improving customer experience."

The launch of the combined service yesterday was planned to establish a "platform to deliver more efficient processes, reduce operating costs and improve customer satisfaction, furthering the intentions of the wider Public Service Reform framework."

Customers will now be able to ring a single telephone number to deal with contributions or tax issues (705700, open from 08:45 to 16:00), send post to a single address (PO Box 37, St Peter Port, GY1 3AZ), and submit enquiries or information through one email address (revenueservice@gov.gg).

Over time, further integrated services and operational improvements will be introduced, including improving and increasing the service’s online functionality.

Further information on the Revenue Service and its ambitions for change can be found at gov.gg/revenueservice
