The Bailiwick of Guernsey’s Data Protection Commissioner will be speaking at a European seminar in London later this year.

Emma Martins will be presenting at the Privacy, InfoSec, Culture Change and Awareness Societal Organisation, better known as ‘Picasso’.

The event will see representatives from across the industry discuss why privacy is so important and allow professionals to share best practice.

Mrs Martins will be joined by experts from the London Stock Exchange, HSBC, and Privacy Culture Limited.

“I am delighted to be able to represent the Bailiwick alongside some of the UK’s major organisations,” she said.

“Our presence illustrates just how far we have come as a jurisdiction in providing effective data protection regulation – independently from government – and ensuring high standards of compliance together with a culture of privacy within our community.”

The event takes place on 9 December in London and you can find out more about it ONLINE.
