The Institute of Directors' Guernsey branch has launched its Next Gen Committee which is aimed at being "an inclusive forum for the next generation of leaders and directors".

The Next Gen Forum is aiming to bring together "ambitious and aspiring individuals spanning different industries".

The Forum will be led by a committee of eight members new members – Tom Zierer, Annaliese McGeoch, James Mroch, Holly Warburton, Euan Melrose, Sarah Lacy, Nicki Eastlake-Bent and Chris Leaman along with Karen Power and Sally Rochester from the main IoD committee.

Tom Zierer has been appointed as Chair and Annaliese McGeoch as Vice Chair.

"We identified an opportunity to offer the island’s future leaders more chances to network, upskill and develop their personal brand,’ said Mr Zierer. "We are delighted to bring this Forum to life for our peers and welcome feedback on how we can best support the business community."

The Forum will be formally launched at an event in February 2023. Venue details and specific timings will be confirmed nearer the time.

Wendy Dorey, Chair of the IoD Committee said it will be a great addition to the local business networking offerings.

"With the business world and traditional working practices evolving at pace, it has never been more crucial to provide our future leaders with the tools and support they need to navigate this rapidly changing landscape.

"We hope the Forum will help our local businesses develop their talent pipeline and ensure their leadership succession plans are supported. We have a unique opportunity to equip our leaders of tomorrow with both the skills and connections they need to become better directors and build better businesses."
