With the fundraising efforts continuing, Ninety-One has pledged to match all donations made to the Christmas Lights Appeal this month.

The investment manager business, which has operated in Guernsey for 25 years, said it wants to help "light up town this Christmas".

The festive lights are funded and organised by the St Peter Port Christman Lights Charity, of which Jax Robin is a Trustee and acting-Chair.

Mrs Robin said the charity needs to reach its £40,000 target by 1 October so any monies donated this month, which will be matched by Ninety-One, will help them achieve that.

"We are delighted that Ninety One have come on-board with their ‘match all donations received in September only’ support for this year's fundraising campaign, as we need to reach our £40k target by 1 October in order to commission our contractors to begin the testing and erecting process from early October to ensure St Peter Port is once again lit up bringing joy and cheer to all," said Mrs Robin.
