Do you think your business deserves royal recognition? Does it make an ‘outstanding’ contribution to the community and the economy?
The Guernsey Chamber of Commerce believes there are those in the community who run businesses that deserve recognition on a royal level, and the organisation is looking to support those who put themselves forward for the ‘King’s Award’.
The Award gives winners access to an international platform to showcase their business and recognises those who prove themselves in international trade, innovation, sustainability, and promoting opportunity.

"We know Guernsey is full of businesses that deserve recognition on a global stage,” said the Executive Director of Chamber, Alice Gill.
“Whether you’re a small business with a great innovative product or service, or a larger company running an impressive social mobility programme, the award offers a unique opportunity to recognise and elevate the profile of your businesses on a global stage, showcasing the outstanding contributions they make to our economy and community.”
Ms Gill was pictured with His Majesty King Charles III during his time in the island and the Royals met with dozens of local businesses while touring Guernsey.
A call for businesses to apply has already been met with enthusiasm from members of Chamber.
Other businesses who are interested are being urged to contact the organisation for support in applying.
Chamber says there are many benefits to getting a King's Award, including:
global recognition,
boosts to turnover and international trade,
marketing opportunities, and
boost to recruitment recruiting a highly skilled workforce.
And anyone who is successful in receiving the award gets to wear it proudly – with the ability to carry the Royal emblem on their goods, advertising and any other promotional materials.
The closing date for entries is 12 September.
The Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, which has been running since 1808 and today supports around 600 organisations locally, is officially partnered with Connect Magazine.
