The Global Internet of Things' Vice President, Ben Edwards, was at The Digital Greenhouse last week talking about how IoT technology can support the Government’s Smart Guernsey initiatives.
Airtel-Vodafone in Guernsey is a partner market of Vodafone and organised the event to showcase proven IoT solutions that can be deployed in Guernsey to deliver operational efficiencies for government and drive beneficial societal outcomes.
Mr Edwards spoke to a mixed audience of civil servants and politicians involved in health care, planning, infrastructure and well as utility company representatives, private firms and students from The Guernsey College of Further Education. He showed examples from across the world of IoT projects that have helped improve lives and business efficiency in area such as remote health care monitoring, assisted living, energy management and environment monitoring.
