PwC has strengthened its senior leadership team through a number of appointments across the Channel Islands.

Alexandra McInnes re-joins the firm as a Director leading PwC’s Guernsey Advisory business, having originally trained with PwC in London in 2004. Born in Guernsey, she returns to the island bringing a wealth of experience from over 15 years working with financial services clients in London, New York and Bermuda.

Gerlind Smith has take up the role of Human Capital Director, based in Jersey. She has been with the PwC network for 21 years, having relocated to the Islands from Johannesburg. Most recently, Ms Smith had responsibility for the Human Capital function of PwC across the regions of East, West and Southern Africa.

Charlotte Beattie is another to re-join PwC as she takes on a senior management role in tax, based in Guernsey. Her work focus in recent years has been leading Brexit projects for financial services businesses and working with the Fintech sector on the tax and business challenges they face.

These latest appointments follow on from the promotion announcement last autumn of Lisa McClure’s admittance as a Partner of the Firm and Leyla Yildirim coming on board as Chief Strategy Officer, having previously held multiple senior roles within the wider PwC network.

Commenting on the latest appointments, Senior Partner Simon Perry said:

"I’m delighted to announce these appointments, which reinforce our confidence in our Channel Islands’ business. These accomplished individuals will add even more depth to our local leadership team as they all come equipped with a wealth of experience of both PwC networks and the international marketplace, which will help both our clients and our own business develop.

"It’s very pleasing to welcome such senior female talent to our local firm, which I hope will underline how serious I am about encouraging even more women into leadership positions at PwC. Our clients and staff expect us to bring the most diverse outlook to business issues and I am confident these appointments will help us do just that.”
