HLG Associates appoints new associate director

Wednesday 08 June 2022

HLG Associates has strengthened its management team with the appointment of ‘construction veteran’ Paul Le Tissier as associate director of the Guernsey office.

Mr Le Tissier’s role within the specialist building and construction consultant company will see him continue the business' growth trajectory. He will also be responsible for building the business’ local client base and ensuring that its high standards of professionalism and the effective delivery of its service are maintained.

Mr Le Tissier has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry across several leading local architectural firms, through which he achieved his chartered architectural technologist qualification. Additionally, he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Guernsey Construction Forum and holds a degree in surveying and civil engineering from Portsmouth University.

The appointment of Mr Le Tissier reflects the company’s continued success in the Guernsey market, reflected by recent projects such as its involvement with the building of a new substation at Beau Sejour.

To meet expanding demand following such projects, HLG Associates has seen an extensive growth trajectory, hiring new team members, often those just getting their start in the construction industry to meet its goal of fostering new, local talent.

Guernsey Managing Director, Andrew Morley, said: “We are happy to welcome Paul to the team. His many years of experience and significant qualifications demonstrate his commitment to Guernsey’s construction industry and support the direction of our corporate strategy."

Mr Morley continued: “I know our clients will feel safe in his hands, given his proven ability to deliver a quality service backed up by an exhaustive knowledge of construction.”

Mr Le Tissier added: “It’s a pleasure to join a future-facing firm like HLG Associates, a company that clearly has its finger on the pulse with regards to meeting the ever-evolving needs of the Guernsey populace.

Guernsey has seen an explosion of opportunity for new projects since the pandemic, as residents recognise the value in cultivating their ideal forever home, while businesses once again have the capital to undertake exciting new developments and renovations.

“I am keen to aid in the company’s growth, both in the Channel Islands and beyond. Moreover, I am looking forward to working with my new clients to maintain HLG Associates’ reputation for excellent, unmatched service.”
