Joint focus on health and wealth at finance event

Thursday 30 March 2023

Brooks Macdonald International and the International Ladies in Trusts Association (ILITA) joined forces to support Guernsey Mind with a recent Health and Wealth Wellbeing event.

Held on 16 March and hosted at the offices of law firm Walkers, the event gave its women-focused audience an opportunity to talk openly about managing wealth and achieving a positive lifestyle.

Kathryn Macken of Walkers explained the aim of the ILITA network (established in Cayman) which is to support women working in the financial services industry.

Attendees also heard from guest speaker Grace Galliot, Director at the Natural Health Clinic, who talked about how to lead a happier, healthier lifestyle.

Lisa Ingrouille, Training Officer at Guernsey Mind, gave an overview of the charity, whilst representatives from a range of local businesses and organisations were also on hand to talk about a broad cross-section of wealth and lifestyle organisations.

£780 was raised for Mind at the event through a raffle, with prizes kindly donated by all of the organisations taking part, as well as Creasey’s, Christies Group, and the Liberation Group.

Ms Ingrouille said: I’m really grateful to all of those businesses who took part in this event, and to Brooks Macdonald, the ILITA and Walkers for coming together to make it possible. Not only has this been a real financial boost for our charity, but it also gave us a valuable opportunity to talk to a highly engaged group of women about their wellbeing.”

Jayne WarrenBusiness Development Manager, Brooks Macdonald International, added:

Having recently marked International Women’s Day as a community, this event provided a good platform to carry on our conversations about some of the challenges women can face and also some of the opportunities that exist to help us all lead happier, healthier lifestyles.

"I’d like to really thank the ILITA and Walkers for their support too in bringing this event to fruition, and all the companies who generously donated to our raffle and enabled us to raise a good sum to support the work of Guernsey Mind.
