Guernsey corporate team wins award

Thursday 26 November 2020

Alter Domus Guernsey's Corporate Services team have been awarded the title of Corporate Services Team of the Year by the Chartered Governance Institute's Guernsey Branch at the Annual Dinner and Awards ceremony.

The team was recognised ahead of competitors such as Northern Trust, Intertrust and Praxis for their 'outstanding contribution to delivering first-class service, and providing collaborative and innovative solutions' during an exceptionally challenging year.

"It is one of the proudest moments of my career so far to see the team being awarded at the highest level locally, and being recognised for the hard work and dedication they show every day to both their colleagues and clients alike," said Hannah Dunnell, Senior Manager and team leader.

Tom Amy, Country Executive for Guernsey, said that the team has embraced significant regulatory changes, and challenges brought about by the pandemic, during a period of consistent growth in the region.

"The excellent standard of service reflects their strength as a team, and everyone at Alter Domus is incredibly proud of this achievement," he added.

The Guernsey Branch Awards are a core component of the Annual Dinner, and this year the awards given out reflected the pandemic's impact on the business world.

Paul Smith, Chair of the Institute's Guernsey Branch, applauded the 'fortitude and pragmatism' of all its members.

"The amount of work that our members have had to do in order to ensure that good governance practices have been maintained while businesses adapt to the 'new normal' has increased substantially," he said. "We couldn't be prouder of their efforts."

"Our winners' commitment to maintaining the highest standards of governance in quite extraordinary circumstances has reinforced the benefit that good governance brings to companies and the economy, and has shown the added value that governance professionals bring to any business."
