Grammar v Ladies

Wednesday 07 December 2022

The Ladies College will face a team from the Grammar School in the finals of this year's Collas Crill Moot, taking place today.

The two groups of students will compete at the Royal Court for the title.

Arwen Kernaghan and Isabelle Wood from the Grammar School, and Lauren de Jersey and Rosie de Carteret from the Ladies' College will go head to head in a fictitious negligence case involving a road traffic accident.

For the second year Madam Deputy Bailiff, Jessica Roland, will act as head judge, giving her verdict in the mock trial.

Joining the Deputy Bailiff on the judging panel will be Collas Crill's Guernsey Managing Partner Christian Hay and Partner Wayne Atkinson.

Around 100 sixth form students from the Grammar School, Blanchelande, Elizabeth and Ladies' College took part in this year's Guernsey Moot. There have been three rounds already which led to today's final.
