The Guernsey International Business Association has joined the Institution of Directors in welcoming planned changes to the island's population policy.
GIBA said it "endorses" the IoD's position, ahead of the States debate on the matter which is due to start today.
In addition, GIBA said it emphasises that "industry has responded in a positive and agile way to the ongoing skills shortage, however it is increasingly clear that population growth is necessary for economic growth".
GIBA is backing the island to demonstrate that "it is an environment where business can flourish and continue to build its reputation for first-class professional services".
