Work is ongoing on the final phase of the development work at Admiral Park as Plaza House takes shape, with developers Comport calling it the "centre piece" of "Guernsey's financial services district".

Plaza House is a 67,000 sq ft, six floor building, billed as 'Grade A office space' which has the accolade of being the island's first fully accredited BREEAM rated building.

That means it meets the latest environmental assessment methods and sustainability criteria.

Managing Director of Comprop, Steve Marie, said the development of Plaza House will bring to an end a long term investment in Guernsey's finance and commercial property sectors.

“We are delighted to be entering this final phase of the development of Admiral Park, in which we have been involved for 20 over years," he said.

“We are proud of all the developments on the site; and this final piece of the jigsaw will see the culmination of Comprop’s significant investment in this site and a celebration of all the hard work of the Comprop team, our agents and contractors over the years.”

60% of the space with Plaza House is already let and, Joanna Watts of Watts Property Consultants, who are Letting Agents for the scheme said tenants will be moving in from next summer.

“We have been delighted with take-up so far. We believe this has largely been driven by the quality of environment the building will provide.

“Its ESG credentials have also proved extremely important, given sustainability issues are now top of the agenda for many boards, particularly in the financial services sector.

“With no other large floor plate office buildings in the development pipeline for the foreseeable future and firms wanting to provide their staff with the best accommodation possible, we are confident the remainder of the space will now be taken up quickly.”
