The Board of the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority has appointed Tim Ringsdore as its permanent Chief Executive Officer, following its split with Guernsey.

Mr. Ringsdore has been fulfilling the Interim CEO role since May 2020, following the demerger from the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities.

Mr Ringsdore has significant C-Level and regulatory experience across the Channel Islands and internationally.

Stephanie Liston, Chair of the Authority said: "Tim's unique combination of skills and experience of Jersey is an excellent match for the JCRA and he is ideally positioned to lead the organisation through this critical period and into the future.

"This is an exciting time for the Authority as we develop our team and follow a refocused direction to deliver our services in the best interests of all stakeholders - Government, business, citizens and consumers."

Mr Ringsdore said: "I am confident that together we will continue to ensure that there is healthy competition across the Island, which will help grow the economy through these difficult times, benefiting all Jersey citizens."

Following Guernsey and Jersey's decision to part ways due to differing regulatory priorities, the Guernsey Competition Regulatory Authority has appointed former Cicra CEO Michael Byrne to lead the new authority.
