IoD Guernsey’s final breakfast event of the year will feature local author Tony Gallienne, discussing 'island life' and 'social capital'.
Next Friday, 6 December, attendees will also have a chance to join a Q&A with him.
Mr Gallienne's recent book, Guernsey: How We Live Together, explores the distinctive character of life on the island, and offers insight into Guernsey’s identity, the ways we think and live, and the choices shaping the island’s future.
Glen Tonks, Chair of the IoD Guernsey branch says it is in keeping with the IoD’s October Convention theme, ‘Social Capital: The Key to Economic Growth and Social Wellbeing in Guernsey’.
"IoD Connect events are always a fantastic opportunity to meet others from across Guernsey’s industries. Tony’s book offers fascinating perspectives on Guernsey’s culture, making this event a fitting follow-up to October’s Convention."
The IoD extends its thanks to Skipton International for sponsoring the breakfast event.
It will be held between 07:45 and 09:00 on Friday 6 December at the Old Government House Hotel.
