Expanding health practice moves to new premises

Tuesday 16 November 2021

First Contact Limited is moving to a new premises after growing out of its old practice on the North Plantation.

It’ll be moving to Weighbridge House, increasing the floorspace fourfold and allowing them to build a rehabilitation gym.

The business started in 2018 and has carried out more than 5,000 diagnostic appointments since then.

“The business continues to grow and we can no longer fit in our existing premises, despite extending our opening hours from early to late,” said CEO Graham Dunster, “so it's time to move.”

“We've invested heavily in new technology and now have the most up to date MRI extremity O scanner from Esaote anywhere in the UK,” continued Mr Dunster.

“This means the images produced are amazing and what's more there's no issues of claustrophobia as it's only your limb that goes into the machine so it's a much more comfortable experience for the patients as well.”

Following the move, First Contact has 22 staff working from 15 treatment rooms.

“I genuinely believe this is a first class new facility for the people of Guernsey that can really help them when they need us,” concluded Mr Dunster.
