Date set for property and construction awards

Thursday 27 January 2022

After a three-month delay due to covid-19 restrictions, Guernsey's property and construction awards will now go ahead on Thursday 17 February.

The ceremony was scheduled to take place in November last year with all the finalists in the various categories already selected.

The awards highlight professionals within the industry who have demonstrated dedication and excellence in their roles.

Julie Todd, co-founder and organiser of the awards, said: “Now that restrictions on the island have eased, and following a discussion with Public Health, we're delighted to confirm that the awards night on Thursday 17 February at the St. Pierre Park Hotel is going ahead - albeit three months later than planned.

"The evening is a complete sell-out and there are some truly worthy finalists who have waited patiently for their big night. We can’t wait to celebrate with them and announce the winners.”

Categories being celebrated include awards for rising star, landscaping and hardscaping, and construction projects under £300,000.

The awards are sponsored by local organisations, including gold sponsor Ogier and silver sponsors Savills, HVC, the CIOB, Guernsey Construction Forum, Sheppards Estate Agents, Sandra Robinson Kitchens and Channel Islands Ceramics. Arrival drinks at the ceremony are sponsored by the Norman Piette Group.

Julie Todd and Tim Guilbert own and organise the awards. They operate with the support of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, the Guernsey Construction Forum, CIOB and GBTEA.
