Credit Suisse Trust appoints new MD to lead Guernsey office

Andy Veron has been appointed to lead Credit Suisse Trust in Guernsey.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Mr Veron has held a number of significant board level positions and has served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer within Credit Suisse Guernsey.

He joins from Credit Suisse’s banking operation and takes on responsibility for the management, development and oversight of Credit Suisse’s Trust business.

"I am delighted to be taking up this position; whilst this is a new challenge, I have strong foundations and experience in private client wealth management services," he said. "I’m very much looking forward to further developing the Credit Suisse presence in Guernsey.

"People are key to our business both on the staff side and on the client side and one of my focal points is to ensure we are seen as an 'employer of choice' by our staff and that candidates aspire to join our organisation. I have been very fortunate to have enjoyed an island-based career with international experience.  Being part of Credit Suisse is a fantastic opportunity and I am very much looking ahead to this next chapter with our team."

Paul Annegarn, CEO of Credit Suisse Guernsey, said Mr Veron is a "natural fit" to lead our Trust business.

"He is experienced and ambitious and has Credit Suisse’s values and culture at the heart of his decision-making. I am looking forward to working with Andy and his management team," he said.

Credit Suisse’s Trust business in Guernsey is one of two primary trust operations that the firm operates globally, employing over 50 people locally.
