CBO appoints new Consultant

Tuesday 04 May 2021

Kate Harbour has joined CBO Projects as a Consultant.

Ms Harbour will work across a variety of clients and service lines, delivering a combination of project management, consultancy and change management engagements.

Ms Harbour moved to Guernsey in 2016 after eight years working as a Business Analyst for a London financial services company. During her time in Guernsey, she has worked as a visiting scholar at City University, London, and has also held the role of Assistant Clinical Psychologist for the States of Guernsey.

"I have a diverse professional background with experience of organisational change, stakeholder engagement, business analysis and project management. I hope to bring my knowledge of organisational behaviour to enhance effectiveness across all aspects of my work at CBO," she said.

"I’m looking forward to enhancing and refining my ways of working across a broad range of sectors within the local market. They are embracing the opportunity for me to combine my business and psychology knowledge and experiences, which is very exciting.’

CBO’s CEO Philip Smith said that Ms Harbour’s breadth of qualifications and diverse background would be a real asset to the company.

"In her previous role in the UK, Kate delivered a wide range of technology, process and people projects from inception to completion.

"Since moving to Guernsey, she has worked in the public sector developing her people skills further in the area of clinical psychology. These are valuable skills and will serve her well in her work at CBO."

Ms Harbour holds a PhD in immunobiology and a first class honours degree in psychology. Outside of work, she is a keen rower and musician, playing flute with the Guernsey Symphonic Winds. Ms Harbour is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and club secretary for the Guernsey Rowing Club.
