Students can now apply for a bursary and paid work experience from an actuarial firm.
The firm is inviting applications from Guernsey students who have, or are expected to achieve, at least two 'A' grades at 'A' level, one of which must be in maths. Students studying for a degree in maths, economics or degrees with some maths content will be given preference.
Since being launched back in 2007, BWCI’s Bursary Coordinator Shauna McLaughlin said the company's bursaries have supported 15 local university students in a variety of ways.
“As well as providing and annual bursary of £1,800, we also guarantee at least two months of paid work experience during the summer holidays," she said.
"Students may be able to work for longer, but it’s important that they have some real holiday too.”
The closing dates for entries is 26 February. Further details and an application form can be found HERE.
