Broadband issues leave customers without Wi-fi

Thursday 06 June 2019

Sure engineers have spent time overnight dealing with a broadband issue affecting customers in areas across Guernsey.

Some customers in St Peter Port and L'islet as well as other locations said they lost connectivity last night, with Sure explaining its engineers would be working in the early hours of this morning to try and resolve the problem.

In a statement posted on social media on Wednesday night, the telecoms firm said; "engineers will be carrying out works between 23:00 and 03:00 to resolve the issue. There may be an outage of one hour during this period."

They warned that customers who had issues should not restart their routers during this time.

By 08:00 some people were still reporting a lack of Wi-fi and Sure said at 08:18 that a further update would shortly be posted.
