Bedell Cristin has appointed Guy Westmacott as a Partner two years after he joined the firm.

A specialist in corporate and commercial matters, with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, he works on a variety of international transactions and also advises on related regulatory aspects including competition and financial services.

Mr Westmacott, who has worked previously in London at Eversheds and Vinson & Elkins and in the United Arab Emirates while in-house with Mubadala Investment Company, has 16 years’ experience in the legal sector.

He joined Bedell Cristin in 2016 and earlier this year was promoted to Managing Associate.

David Cadin, Managing Partner, Bedell Cristin, said: "Since his arrival, Guy has played a significant role in building our commercial and corporate practice.

"He has been instrumental in supporting some of the biggest corporate deals the firm has undertaken, whilst also demonstrating a commitment to client service and ability to work as part of a global team. I am delighted to welcome Guy to the partnership in this exciting time of growth for our firm."
