Aurigny appoints new PR Manager

Thursday 17 January 2019

Jess Mauger has been appointed PR Manager at Aurigny Air Services, with responsibility for managing Aurigny’s public relations locally and off island and also managing all internal company communications.

Mrs Mauger brings with her more than 15 years’ experience in business PR and journalism, having previously worked as PR Manager for Sure and as a Journalist for Bailiwick Express.

She'll be working alongside the airline’s CEO Mark Darby and its Commercial Director Malcolm Coupar.

Mrs Mauger joined the team in December and has already described the role as challenging and exciting in a unique commercial environment.

She said: “Having worked at Sure for many years in a similar role I understand customer expectations and challenges around technical operations. I have already been involved in some pivotal moments within the company, with the approval of the business case for three new ATRs and amended operations via Southampton following the ‘drone’ closure of Gatwick.

“I already feel privileged to work in this fast paced and interesting environment. Aurigny is a vital lifeline for so many in the community and I am proud to be part of a team that strives to improve the experience and its communications with its customers. I am really keen to engage with all key stakeholders for the airline, including its many passengers both locally and further afield.”

Locally born and educated Mrs Mauger graduated from Solent University with a BA Hons. Degree in Journalism and spends her time out of work with her husband and young daughter.
