AFM appoints new commercial manager

AFM has appointed a new commercial manager with more than 20 years of director level experience in the UK facilities management industry.

In his new role at the facilities management company, Mark Powell will be responsible for driving forward the development of new and existing business opportunities, including the launch of new services.

He will also work on the development of bespoke solutions that ultimately support and enhance clients’ business.

Ben Le Huray, AFM’s commercial director, said: "We are delighted to announce AFM’s appointment of Mark Powell. His unique experience and techniques acquired from the UK facilities management market place will be invaluable to our clients and the company as we continue to grow our services across the Channel Islands."

Mr Powell added: "I am really looking forward to this new challenge and being part of the AFM team. I am keen to demonstrate the value of working with AFM as well as supporting the delivery of strong customer service and the development of sustainable solutions, with a focus on full life cycle maintenance and whole life cost."

Throughout his career, Mr Powell has introduced new facilities management accounts for Waterstones, supporting in excess of 280 stores in the UK, Selfridges, including its flagship store in Oxford Street and sites in Birmingham and Manchester, and Cineworld’s UK portfolio. He has also been client side having operated the Estates Management Company for Stockley Park near Heathrow.
