Saffery Champness has awarded promotions to a tenth of its local workforce.

The accountancy firm currently employs around 110 people in its Guernsey office and many individuals have progressed through the firm to senior management roles, including Managing Director Nick Batiste, who started with the company as a trainee trust administrator in 1992.

Mr Batiste said: “At Saffery Champness we are committed to rewarding success and developing high calibre talent. We are very pleased to be able to promote so many members of staff across our business areas. These promotions reflect the growing talent within the firm and I congratulate them all on their well-deserved success.”

In the tax team, Danny Miller has been promoted to Tax Manager. He first started his career at Saffery Champness as a trainee trust administrator in 2000 before moving into the tax team in 2002.

In the fiduciary team, seven people have been promoted; Zac Hanley, Rory Jones, Tracey Bufton and Simon Ricketts to Senior Trust Officers, and William Booth, Harry Gallienne and Cameron Le Page to Trust Administrators.

In the audit team, Gareth Le Cras has been promoted to Audit-Semi Senior and Henrietta Aldwell has been promoted to Audit Assistant.

In Marketing, Natalie Petit has been promoted to Senior Marketing Officer.

In recognition of the firm’s commitment to training and development it has achieved the ACCA Platinum Approved Employer and STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Platinum Employer Partner status.
